SHAYNA TOURS

The tourist project Shayna Tours is born in June 2004 in the indigenous community of Tumupasa ; only place of Bolivia where the  Tacana language is still in force, here you will listen raw the authentic Tacana language as evidence of  one of the old dominant culture of the Boliovian Amazon.

It is fitting to mentionate that so the name of the Tourist Destination Rurrenabaque as the name of the river Beni of our region  are a bequeathing of this culture

The tourist project Shayna Tours has been set up with end of:

  1. To preserve the Tacana  culture still authentic for the future generations.
  2. To work together with others community tourist project of the region applying the main motto of Bolivia “The union is the force”  with the main objective of improoving life level in the Indigenous-Rural communities encouraging at a time biodiversity conservation on the benefit not only of our region but of the whole planet.

Dear reader: At a time of enjoying the even authentic beauty of these natural draws, upon visiting this Amazon region, you will contribute to get the noble aspiration and objective of us that live in the lung of the world preventing in one way or the other  the green environment  depredation, uniting strength that our planet kept being  inhabitable for many more generations.

The word  “SHAYNA”  is the name  of a plant whose leaves contain  a red colouring pigment used by us the Tacanas as threads colouring in the art of our variety of weavings such as  hammocks , blankets , small carpets , carrying straps. Etc.
